What is a Personalized Education Plan (PEP)?
A personalized education plan (PEP) is a document that outlines a student's academic goals, strengths, areas for improvement, and learning needs. The purpose of a PEP is to provide a roadmap for the student's education and to ensure the whole child is supported with access to the resources they need to succeed both in their educational pursuits and the world beyond.
A PEP is created by the student and their parents or guardians, in collaboration with their education coaches, course instructors, and/or school counselor. The plan may include information on the student's academic and career goals, their preferred learning style, any learning disabilities, or other special needs they may have, and any other factors that may affect their academic performance. A PEP may also include specific goals and objectives for the student to work towards, along with strategies and accommodations that can be used to support their learning. The plan may be reviewed and revised periodically to ensure that it remains relevant and effective.
The purpose of a PEP is to provide a customized and flexible approach to education that meets the unique needs of each student. By taking into account the student's individual learning style, strengths, and challenges, a PEP can help to maximize their potential and ensure that they receive the support they need to succeed.
At CMASAS, our Personalized Education Coaches (PECs) work together with the student and their family to develop a PEP to help students reach their academic goals. We offer different tuition plans depending on the amount of support students need to be successful.
