The National Honor Society (NHS) chapter at CMASAS started in 2017 and serves to honor students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its founding in 1921. To join, students must provide documentation of these four qualities. We believe many CMASAS students demonstrate these qualities and encourage them to apply each year.

It is important to understand that chapter membership not only recognizes students for their past accomplishments but challenges them to develop future active involvement in school activities and community service. CMASAS is honored to have our students recognized as outstanding individuals. All members must adhere to a set of bylaws and pay NHS chapter dues each year. Moderated by CMASAS Counselor Heidi Fox, NHS members meet monthly from August through May.
